NBC News: Breaking & US News App Reviews

Went to open the app and it wont open. Now I see others having same issue. Dont you people test before you deploy this crap? It wont even let me delete the app either. Way to go.

I enjoy watching NBC, and I respect them as a news source. But their apps, both the NBC News app and my local NBC Bay Area news apps are terrible. The NBC News app constantly "bounces" with updates every few second as Im trying to read a story. This sort of thing is inexcusable, since its Web Page Building 101 stuff. NBC needs to either fire their entire internet team, or, if they actually are competent but being stifled by management, give them the funding and opportunity to fix this mess. It is so bad that I honestly wonder if anyone in charge actually checks the site out on a regular basis.

Doesnt make the world a better place, just ensures safety for advertisers.

Still great. Great content. Fantastic live video. And I loved live updates on the primaries.

The only thing can be improved is the subtitles for nightly news everyday. I am really hoping to see it appears in the video but now it doesnt even though I chose “auto”.

This is just another web converted to app - full of commercials. Very bad design as well. News are about live feed - there is none !

After updating I couldnt get content of any story - just blank white pages. Restarting iPhone 6 solved the problem. Favorite news app.

This app blinks on and off when trying to use it.

When you start the app you are usually greeted by the news from the last time you used it. While you stare at old news patiently waiting, the app makes sure it loads new advertisements first before any stories. By this time youve probably closed it and are looking at CNN.

This app never updates and even a forced update takes at least 5 tries. Once updated the screen blinks constantly so you cant read anything. Using a competitors app until this is fixed.

One article & then nothing opens! I use it for primary coverages, and that about it.

Used to get the nbc network tone with breaking news. That stopped working months ago and hasnt ever been fixed.

This app has all the problems the CNN app has but it does load slightly faster.Both of these apps need to be applauded for doing so much to promote the print news media.

For most part the app is great but it keeps flickering and very annoying. Im deleting the app from my phone until you fix this problem

A 30s ad for each brief video? Seriously? They shouldnt be longer than 5 or 10s, or at least learn from YouTube and give option for skipping ad after 5s.

We cannot trust the corporate media. The largest corporations that own the likes of NBC and CNN do not tell the real and unbiased news. Look to PBS and The Young Turks for real news that tells the truth.
